585 people have been arrested in the last 24 hours in Operation ‘Devil Hunt’, which began across the country including Dhaka. In addition, 1,492 people have been arrested in other operations in the last 24 hours.
Police Headquarters AIG (Media and PR) Enamul Haque Sagar gave this information on Sunday evening.
He said that 585 people have been arrested in Operation Devil Hunt and 1,492 people have been arrested in other operations from yesterday to today.
The weapons recovered in Operation Devil Hunt are a foreign pistol, an LG, a magazine, 10 rounds of bullets, 47 rounds of bullet shells, three cartridges, an iron bar and 6 knives.
Incidentally, on February 7, an attack on students took place at the house of former minister AKM Mozammel Haque in Gazipur. The students alleged that the attack was carried out by Awami League people. After this incident, the government decided to strengthen the overall security system of the country.
In continuation of this, ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ was launched on February 8. The interim government took the initiative to conduct ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ mainly to maintain the law and order situation in the country.
