Combined patrolling of joint forces will continue across the country, including the capital, from this evening, said Shafiqul Alam, Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor.
He told reporters after a meeting held under the chairmanship of the Home Affairs Advisor at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (February 24) afternoon.
The Press Secretary said, today’s meeting was very important. Several decisions were taken there. The first decision is that we will increase patrolling in the areas where the law and order situation has deteriorated, including the entire Dhaka city. You can see this patrolling in the entire Dhaka city from this evening. Police, army, BGB, Navy, all of them will do combined patrolling together. Checkposts will be set up at many places.
He said, the law and order situation will be monitored by setting up checkposts at different places. At the same time, it has been decided to step up intelligence gathering. Those of us who have intelligence wings and agencies will increase gathering as per their requirements. We will take action accordingly.
