Calling on everyone to remain united, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman said, “At the end of the day, everyone should be united by looking after the country and the nation instead of causing trouble. If we throw mud ourselves, the sovereignty of the country and the nation will be endangered. I am warning you, you cannot say later that I did not warn you. Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is helping the country as much as he can to keep it united.”
The Army Chief said these things at a photo exhibition organized at Rawa Club in Mohakhali on Tuesday on the occasion of National Martyrs’ Day.
Regarding the 13th parliamentary election, Waqar-uz-Zaman said, “I think we are heading towards the election. Earlier, I had said that there will be an election within 18 months. I expect a fair and impartial election by December.” Dr. Yunus is trying his best in this regard.
