BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the massacre in Peelkhana was carried out for two days under the leadership of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in collaboration with the Awami League.
He made this statement after placing wreaths at the graves of martyred military officers and members at the military cemetery in Banani in the capital on Tuesday morning on the occasion of National Martyrs’ Day.
Fakhrul said that this day is a black day for the army. The enemies of the army killed 57 brave soldiers that day. Their aim was to destroy the country’s security system.
The BNP Secretary General said that we thank the government for making this day a national day. We offer our condolences to the relatives of the slain army members.
