Gulf News reported that Saudi Arabia officially announced on Friday that March 1 (Saturday) will be the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.

It said that the moon of the month of Ramadan was sighted in the sky of Saudi Arabia today, Friday. As a result, the month of Shaban ends in 29 days. And the first day of Ramadan will be tomorrow, Saturday.

This year, Australia was the first in the world to officially announce the start of Ramadan by seeing the moon. Then the same announcement came from the largest Muslim country, Indonesia. However, the Ramadan moon was not sighted in Indonesia’s neighbors, Brunei and Malaysia. Due to this, the holy month of Ramadan will begin in these two countries from March 2. In addition, the Philippines also later announced that the moon was not sighted here either tonight. The Ramadan moon was not sighted in Pakistan either.

On the other hand, the Ramadan moon has been sighted in the African countries of Tanzania and Ethiopia. In addition, France has also announced the start of Ramadan from tomorrow, Saturday.
