Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Md. Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui said, working on border killings is our priority one. From yesterday to today, we have strongly and strongly protested to the BSF at every place, starting from the place where the killing took place. He said, killing is not a solution. It is unacceptable in any way. If those accused of infiltration are treated like this, how good will it be to treat those who infiltrate from India?
A Bangladeshi youth named Md. Al-Amin (32) was killed in firing by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at the Kasba border in Brahmanbaria. The incident took place in the Putia border area of Bayek Union of the upazila on Friday (February 28) evening.
The deceased Al-Amin is the son of Sultan Mia of Putia village. His death has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
According to local sources, at around 7:30 pm, the BSF fired rubber bullets at some Bangladeshis in the area adjacent to Pillar No. 2043 of the border. Al-Amin was seriously injured in this. BSF members rescued him in his injured condition and took him to an Indian hospital. He died around 9 pm while undergoing treatment there.
