The occupying Israeli forces have killed an average of two Palestinian children per week since the beginning of 2024.

According to a report by Al-Mayadeen on Saturday, the killing of Palestinian children in the West Bank has become increasingly common. Especially since the start of Israel’s brutal aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023. This violence has intensified after the ceasefire in Gaza in January 2024.

So far this year, two children have been killed every week. Which exceeds the annual average of 93 child murders in 2024.

Human rights organizations fear that this number may increase. Because the brutal Israeli forces are now applying the repressive tactics used in Gaza to the West Bank. These include the forced eviction of thousands of Palestinians, the demolition of entire residential areas and the ‘relaxation of regulations’ for soldiers, allowing them to fire more freely than before.

This change is being called ‘Gazafication’, which indicates a new reality of violence and destruction in the West Bank as well as in the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, according to the Gaza Health Ministry, 48,388 Palestinians have been killed so far in the Israeli offensive in Gaza.

According to a report by Al Jazeera on Saturday, the Gaza Health Ministry released its latest report on the number of dead and injured.

In a statement, the ministry said that two more people were killed and 21 bodies were recovered in the past 48 hours. In addition, 23 injured people were admitted to hospital at the same time.

This brings the total number of deaths in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023 to 48,388 and 111,803 injured.

The Health Ministry also said that countless bodies were trapped under the rubble.

The Gaza government media office said that the actual death toll could be more than 61,000. Because thousands of missing people are presumed dead.
