A 6-year-old girl has been allegedly raped in the forest in Baniachong upazila of Habiganj district. The incident has created a sensation in the area.

Later, the victim was rescued and initially admitted to the Baniachong Upazila Health Complex, but from there he was sent to the District Sadar Adhunik Hospital in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested two teenagers involved in the incident.

The incident took place on Sunday (March 9) afternoon in Dakshin Jatrapasha of Baniachong, Habiganj. Earlier, the victim’s grandmother filed a written complaint with the Baniachong Police Station as a complainant in this incident.

The arrested are Nofail Mia (17), son of Sajman Mia (17), of Banamathura village, Dakshin Jatra Pasha of Baniachong, and Shamim Mia (15), son of Farid Mia of the same area.

Police said that on the afternoon of March 9, the child was playing at his house in South Jatrapasha. At one point, the child was taken to the forest near the house by luring him with 10 taka and raped him. At that time, the people around the victim came forward and the miscreants fled. Later, she was immediately rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex.

Later, she was sent to Habiganj District Sadar Adhunik Hospital in critical condition. She is currently undergoing treatment. When a complaint was filed in this incident at night, the police conducted a raid and arrested the lustful Nofail Mia and Shamim Mia.

Confirming the matter, Baniachong Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Prabas Kumar Singh said – Two teenagers have been arrested in the case of raping the child. They are being interrogated. Legal action will be taken after the interrogation.

Meanwhile, the victim’s maternal uncle said – Dulal Mia (50), the father of the raped child, had been ill for some time. He started feeling even sicker after hearing about this incident of his daughter on Sunday afternoon. At some point, he died at 11 am on Monday.
