A special law is being enacted soon to bring back money laundered abroad during the tenure of Sheikh Hasina’s government, which was ousted in a popular uprising, said Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary to the chief advisor.
He gave this information at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Monday afternoon.
Earlier, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the chief advisor regarding the return of laundered money. Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said that a decision was made to draft a new law there.
