RAB has arrested Md. Hossain Sardar (60), the main accused in the case filed in the mosque stabbing case of three people, including his two brothers and a cousin, after entering the mosque.

He was arrested from Ashulia area of ​​Dhaka late on Tuesday (March 11) in a joint operation by RAB-8 and RAB-4. Another accused named Sumon Sardar (33) was arrested from Shariatpur in the same case.

RAB-8 commander Lieutenant Colonel Nistar Ahmed confirmed the veracity of the information at a press conference held at the RAB-8 headquarters on Wednesday (March 12) at 12:30 pm.

He said that on March 8, 49 accused and 80-90 unidentified accused, led by the arrested Hossain Sardar, attacked the house of victim Saiful Sardar with country-made weapons in collusion.

At that time, Saiful Sardar and his two brothers took shelter in the Sardar’s house, Jame Mosque, to save their lives. Then, on the orders of Hossain Sardar, the other accused entered the mosque and hacked Saiful Sardar and his brother Ataur Sardar to death. They also hacked several others indiscriminately and left them injured. In addition, the accused set fire to and looted four houses during the attack.

The deceased in the attack were Saiful Sardar (33), Ataur Sardar (35) and their cousin Palash Sardar (18). Three others who were seriously injured in the incident have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka for better treatment.

Sources also said that the accused went into hiding immediately after the murder. RAB-8 identified their location with the help of modern technology. Later, with the help of RAB-4, a drive was conducted in Ashulia, Dhaka and the main accused Md. Hossain Sardar was arrested. Another accused in the same case, Sumon Sardar, was arrested from the Arigaon area of ​​Palang Police Station in Shariatpur.

There is a murder case (number 14) against the arrested accused in Madaripur Sadar Police Station. Sumon Sardar has already been handed over to the police station. Preparations are underway to hand over the main accused in the case, Md. Hossain Sardar, to the police station.
