We have come out of a terrible, demonic environment: Mirza Fakhrul

Dhaka //

We have come out of a terrible, demonic environment, but the young generation is becoming intolerant, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

He made this comment in a post on his verified page on social media Facebook on Monday.

In that post, Mirza Fakhrul mentioned that we have come out of a terrible, demonic environment. Today, we have to be a little patient. But when we open the pages of the newspaper, we get upset. Again, we see that killings, injuries, and rapes. These are going to a place that is oppressing us all.

He said, we see that the young generation is becoming intolerant. Again, we see that workers of various institutions and organizations have come to the field with demands.

Mirza Fakhrul said that we are committed to reforming BNP. We gave 31 points two years ago, reforms that no one talked about. Those reforms have come up today. With which there is not much difference. That is why we think that elections should be arranged as soon as possible, it is necessary to protect stability in the country by giving responsibility to the elected government.

He said, what we are asking for now, we are asking for very sincerely. This interim government, which we have all given responsibility to, in a very short time, as we have repeatedly said, will quickly move towards the national parliament elections by implementing all the necessary reforms.

The BNP Secretary General also said, what we have observed, from past experience – the longer it is delayed, the more the opposing forces – fascist forces will start raising their heads again to defeat the pro-government forces in Bangladesh and not only them, but also those who have militant attitudes, those who have extremist attitudes will try to take these opportunities.

The senior BNP leader finally said in the post, “The sooner the elections are held, the sooner the people’s representatives come to parliament, and on the one hand they will govern the country, and on the other hand, we will be able to carry out all the other necessary reforms together.”
