Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus held an emergency meeting with 127 officers from different levels of the police on the law and order situation. The Chief Advisor gave a directive speech to the field-level police officers in the meeting.
The meeting began at around 11:15 am on Monday (March 17) at the Chief Advisor’s Tejgaon office. The Chief Advisor himself presided over it.
Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Home Secretary Nasimul Gani and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam, among others, spoke at this special meeting.
Among the field-level officers, Chittagong Range DIG Ahsan Habib Palash and Rajshahi Range DIG Farzana Islam spoke.
Earlier, at a regular press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday, Deputy Press Secretary to the Chief Advisor Abul Kalam Azad Majumder said that there is a kind of concern among the people about the law and order situation. In this situation, the Chief Advisor will hold a meeting with field level police officers across the country on Monday.
He said that the Chief Advisor will hold a meeting with 127 high-ranking police officers. The law and order situation in the country will be discussed in the meeting. At the same time, the Chief Advisor will give various directions.
