A youth has died after being crushed under the wheels of a moving train in Moglabazar, Sylhet. The identity of the deceased was not immediately known. The deceased is estimated to be 25/30 years old.
The accident occurred on Friday (March 21) afternoon in the area adjacent to Royal City of Moglabazar Police Station in South Surma.
It is learned that the youth was on the roof of the Parabat Express that was leaving Sylhet for Dhaka. At that time, he inadvertently fell down from the roof and was crushed under the wheels of the train.
Sylhet Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdul Quddus said that after receiving the information, Sylhet Police went to the scene and recovered the body. The body of the youth has been sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Morgue for autopsy. He said that the identity of the deceased has not been found yet.
