The elections will be held between December this year and June next year, said Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He said, ‘I have said before about the elections, and I say again, the elections will be held between December this year and June next year.’

He said these things in a speech on the occasion of Independence Day and the holy Eid-ul-Fitr at 7 pm on Tuesday.

The Chief Advisor said, ‘We want the next election to be the most free, fair and acceptable election in the history of Bangladesh. For this, the Election Commission has started making all kinds of preparations. I hope that the political parties will start preparing for the elections with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm.’

Commenting on ‘There is a festival of rumors going on in the media and social media,’ Dr. Yunus said, ‘An attempt is being made to mislead the people by spreading false information one after another to destabilize the country. Rumors are being spread in all kinds of innovative ways. One picture is being added to another, events are being made into photo cards, events from other countries are being circulated as events from this country and are being circulated on social media. As the elections approach, its form will continue to become more dangerous. You all know who is behind it and why.’

He said, ‘We have sought the cooperation of the United Nations to prevent the spread of these rumors and false information. The UN Secretary-General has assured us that he will cooperate with us in combating it.’

Calling on everyone to be vigilant against rumors and false propaganda, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said that rumors are the biggest tool of the defeated forces against this July coup. Whenever you see rumors, you should keep searching for the source of the rumors. Do not ignore rumors. Many experienced military experts are working day and night behind these rumors, unlimited money is being invested behind them. Its main goal is to thwart the July coup. We will not let it fail.

He said, the first phase of the July Uprising has been successfully completed. With the completion of the first phase, the second phase of the uprising has begun. We must always remember that we are in a state of war.

Warning the people, the Chief Advisor said, our overall unity is fueling the fire of the fugitive forces. They want to break this unity. You will not be able to sense their innovative tactics. You will not understand when you have become a puppet in their game. We have to stop this rumor with our awareness and overall unity. The conspiracy of the fugitive evil forces must be foiled.
