Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, we remember this day every day. We want peace in the country, so that people can move forward in their own minds and interests. They should not have to move forward in fear of anyone. We all wish everyone well. We want peace for the nation and for the whole world.

The Chief Advisor said, today is a day of embracing. Let us keep that message in our minds and embrace each other, so that we can move away from whatever distance there was. This is the welfare of the society.

He said this at an Eid greeting exchange program with people from different classes and professions at the Chief Advisor’s office in Tejgaon on Monday afternoon.

He said, the message of Eid is reconciliation among ourselves, leaving the past behind and moving forward. We have been able to decide on such a day in society, it has given us, this is a great blessing for us.

Dr. Yunus said, “Today, on the day of Eid, we are all very happy to be together. My situation is such that it is difficult to meet anyone. So I am very grateful to have the opportunity to meet so many people today. We celebrated the great festival of Eid today. The message of Eid is reconciliation among ourselves, leaving the past behind and moving forward. We have been able to decide on such a day in society, it has been given to us, this is a great blessing for us. One day! It is not just a day, it is not just like meeting, we have to hug. This is the rule of religion. We embrace everyone by hugging.

He said, so that we can absorb the good of the society with interest. That is why this Eid is very important, so that we can come closer to each other, we can move away from the distance from each other, we can unite the society around us. Because unity is especially important for us, for this time. May we achieve that.” Let us take that message to heart in today’s gathering and move forward, be tolerant of each other, and more than that, establish friendly relations with each other. This is how peace comes to society. Peace is very important in Bangladesh. Let us remember that.
