China visit a positive and big success of the interim government: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the China visit is a positive and big success of the interim government. Earlier, during the Awami League government, relations were established unilaterally with a Chinese party. However, with the change of government, China has changed its strategy and is holding talks with all political parties.

He said these things while talking to reporters at a post-Eid greeting exchange program at his ancestral residence in Tantipara Mohalla of Thakurgaon city on Tuesday afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said that China is a very prosperous country and is the second largest economy in the world. China’s investment in Bangladesh is also very high. China has promised to make necessary investments in the development of Bangladesh in the future. This is undoubtedly hopeful for us.

In response to a question about the interim government, the BNP Secretary General said that they came to power with the support of the people and this government was formed through the movement of students and the public. They have brought forward a reform program to bring about changes in the state system and formed a reform commission. We have reviewed the proposals of the commission and given our opinion. In the future, they will sit with us and other political parties.

Regarding the elections, he said, our chief advisor said that the elections will be held within December.

Regarding the Eid celebration in Thakurgaon, Mirza Fakhrul said, I really wanted to celebrate Eid in Thakurgaon this time. I came today due to illness, I will return to Dhaka tomorrow. I am going abroad for treatment on April 6.

Earlier, leaders and activists from different parts of the district gathered at his residence for the Eid greeting exchange program. They were happy and excited to meet their beloved leader. Around 3 pm, Mirza Fakhrul exchanged hugs and greetings with everyone and extended Eid greetings. During this time, he listened to the people’s happiness and sorrows and listened carefully to various problems.

Sadar Upazila BNP President Abdul Hamid said, we are very happy to exchange Eid greetings with our beloved leader.

District BNP Office Secretary Mamunur Rashid said, the Secretary General returned to his area today to exchange Eid greetings with leaders and activists of Thakurgaon and the common people. He will leave for Dhaka via Syedpur on Wednesday.

Former UP Chairman Poygam Ali, freedom fighter Nur Karim, BNP leader Ansarul Haque, District BNP Office Secretary Mamunur Rashid and other party leaders and activists were present at the time.
