Bangladesh sends second batch of emergency relief supplies to Myanmar

Bangladesh has sent a second batch of emergency medicines and relief supplies to the victims of the devastating earthquake in Myanmar. These medicines and relief supplies were sent on Tuesday morning by three transport aircraft of the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Air Force.

This assistance was sent on the instructions of Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Deputy Press Secretary of the Chief Advisor Abul Kalam Azad Majumder gave this information.

He said that the mission includes a rescue and medical team consisting of rescue experts from the three services, doctors from the Fire Service and Civil Defense Department, doctors from the Bangladesh Army and civilian doctors. The total number of rescuers and doctors is 55. In addition, there are 37 crew members in the three aircraft.

The rescue and medical team has taken their self-reliance items (rations, hygiene items, communication equipment, cooking utensils, etc.) with them.

In addition, 8 tons of dry food, 2.5 tons of water, 4 tons of medicine, one ton of healthcare supplies and 1.5 tons of relief tents have been sent to the earthquake-affected people.

Earlier on Sunday, emergency relief supplies, medicine, tents, dry food and a medical team were sent to Myanmar through the Bangladesh Armed Forces led by the Bangladesh Army.
