Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad, General Secretary of My Bangladesh (AB) Party, said that no government (interim government) has been formed before with so much public support in the history of the country. In my view, the most successful government after the government of martyred President Ziaur Rahman will be the one under Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. And it will depend on time.

He said this in his speech as the chief guest at a view-exchange meeting with journalists and well-wishers at the Barisal Press Club on Thursday on the occasion of Eid.

The meeting was organized by the AB Party’s metropolitan and district committees.

Barrister Fuad said that if this government can last for 2-3-4 years on the basis of everyone’s consensus, then it will go a long way towards the path that we have been aspiring to become Singapore, Malaysia, and South Korea for the past 4-5 years.

The meeting was attended by Barisal Press Club General Secretary SM Zakir Hossain, media workers, leaders of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee.
