Bangladesh last hosted a World Cup in 2014. Then last year, the Women’s T20 World Cup was supposed to be held in Bangladesh. However, it was withdrawn at the last minute due to political instability.

However, that regret is soon going to be erased by the BCB. Bangladesh is going to get the hosting rights of the U-19 Women’s World Cup.

This World Cup will be fought in 2027. This is going to be the third edition of the tournament. The first was held in South Africa. The second edition was held in Malaysia. India won both editions.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board has already started preparing for this tournament. Although it is only about the team. The BCB has focused on finding talent and nurturing them in conjunction with first-division clubs and age-based coaches.

The BCB is starting this process all over the country. Clubs and coaches will bring players into the pipeline, which will help Bangladesh enter the field as a strong team in the World Cup to be held at home, the BCB hopes. The board believes that if this global women’s cricket tournament is held in Bangladesh, it will not only inspire women’s cricket, but also a new generation to come to cricket.
