The BGB has arrested three Indian nationals with 69 bottles of Phensedyl at the Daulatpur border in Kushtia.

They were arrested from the Degreerchar area of ​​Charchilmari in Daulatpur upazila at 6:30 am on Friday. This information was given in a written press release by the Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB) in the evening.

The BGB said that the BGB members conducted an anti-drug operation at the house of Nizam Mondal, son of Moyez Uddin Mondal, in Degreerchar area, approximately 150 yards inside Bangladesh from the border pillar 84/2-S in the area under the responsibility of the BOP.
At that time, Jewel Mondal (25), son of Nizam Uddin Mondal of Murshidabad district, Rakibul Mondal (35), son of Shahad Ali Mondal, and Bapan Mondal (32), son of Kalachand Mondal, were arrested along with 69 bottles of Phensedyl.

Bangladeshi nationals Nizam Mondal (45) and his brother Sharif Mondal (25) involved in the incident are absconding. In another separate operation, 14 kg of unlicensed ganja was seized from a place called Hatpara in Tentulbari BOP area and 485 pieces of Indian Yaba were seized from a place called Akandapara under the responsibility of Charchilmari BOP.

Lieutenant Colonel Mahbub Murshed Rahman, commander of Kushtia Battalion (47 BGB), confirmed the incident and said that the estimated Caesar value of the seized drugs is 2 lakh 22 thousand 100 taka. In addition, the process of filing a case against the Indian smugglers under the relevant law and handing them over to Daulatpur Police Station is under process. The process of storing seized marijuana and yaba in the battalion headquarters drug store is ongoing to destroy the ownerless marijuana and yaba.
