A Delta Airlines plane caught fire at Orlando International Airport in Florida, USA. The plane caught fire before takeoff, and the 294 passengers on board quickly evacuated the plane.
The British media outlet BBC reported this information in a report on Monday.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that flames were seen coming from one of the engines of Atlanta-bound Flight 1213 at 11:15 am local time. Passengers were immediately evacuated using emergency slides.
The Airbus A330 aircraft was carrying 282 passengers and 12 crew members. The FAA initially said no one was injured.
Multiple videos circulating on social media showed flames coming from the back of the plane and passengers quickly exiting the plane using slides.
Orlando Airport authorities said the plane caught fire in the engine while it was on the ramp. Fire and rescue units quickly arrived at the scene.
