Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman urges non-Muslims to run for Jamaat in elections

Dhaka //

Ameer of the party Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has urged non-Muslims to run for Jamaat-e-Islami in the elections. He said, you will have to go to parliament and express your views. I am not promising, I am urging you, if you like, then prepare for the elections under the banner of Jamaat in the future. You are welcome to come. If you do not come, at least I want love. Not for any person or party, but for yourself and the country.

The Jamaat Ameer made this appeal at the ‘Friendship Rally for People of Different Religions’ of Dhaka South Jamaat at the Diploma Engineers Institution in the capital on Wednesday night. He said, “If we do not have to guard mosques and madrasas, then why should we guard temples? We do not want to accept this culture. We want to change this culture. We want to form a state where no one has to guard temples.”

Shafiqur Rahman said that political parties had promised to fulfill all the legitimate demands of the people of different religions in their election manifestos. However, they never implemented them.

The Jamaat Ameer said that no one should have to leave the country due to their religious identity. Jamaat also wants to bring back those who have left the country in the past.

Stating that Jamaat does not want to do politics of abuse, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said that politicians only look at themselves, they do not see what is happening around them. We do not want to do politics that people will respect when they come forward and abuse when they go behind.

Shafiqur Rahman said that those who can respect others are real people. They will look into our eyes and point out our mistakes. They will praise us when we are not looking.

The Jamaat Ameer said that we do not believe in this politics of minority and majority.

Ekushey Padak-winning educationist Professor Dr. Sukomal Barua said, everyone from all religions loves Jamaat Ameer. We want to express our views in Parliament.

President of National Hindu Mahajot Dinabandhu Roy said, non-violence is the supreme religion. How many houses has Jamaat occupied in Dhaka city and how many houses have others occupied? If you do this calculation, then you will get the answers to all your questions.

The rally was addressed by National Hindu Mahajot Secretary General Advocate Govinda Chandra Pramanik, Assistant Secretary Principal of Bangladesh Buddhist Culture Promotion Association Anupam Barua, General Secretary of Puja Udjavan Parishad and Kalbela Editor Santosh Sharma, among others. Ameer of Metropolitan South M Nurul Islam Bulbul.

Express your opinion.
