BNP meets Chinese Communist Party delegation

BNP held a meeting with a visiting Chinese Communist Party (CCP) delegation. The meeting began at 6:30 pm on Saturday at the Westin Hotel in the capital.

An eight-member delegation led by Peng Jiubin, head of the Southeast and South Asia Bureau of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, participated in the meeting. A seven-member delegation led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir participated from BNP.

The BNP delegation also includes Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Chairperson’s Advisory Council member Ismail Zabiullah, Legal Affairs Secretary Barrister Kaiser Kamal, Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee member Humayun Kabir, Media Cell member Mahmuda Habiba, and Chairperson’s Private Secretary and former Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.

The Chinese delegation includes Ms. Chen Xuanbo, Deputy Director of Southeast and South Asian Affairs of the IDCPC, Mr. Chen Yangpei, Third Secretary, Mr. Zhang Guiyu, Bureau for Southeast and South Asian Affairs, Mr. Yao Wen, Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka, Mr. Zhang Jing, Director of the Political Department of the Embassy, ​​and Ms. Liu Hongru, Attaché to the Political Department of the Embassy.

The meeting is expected to discuss bilateral relations, political cooperation and regional situations.
