Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has offered India to join an impartial investigation into the Pahelgam massacre in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

He made this call while addressing a parade at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul on Saturday. Khabar Geo News Urdu.

Talking about the Pahelgam and Kashmir issues, the Prime Minister said that Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory. The Kashmiri people must be given the right to self-determination.

He said that our neighboring country has accused Pakistan without any evidence. One after another baseless allegations have been made about the Pahelgam incident. Pakistan is ready to cooperate in an impartial investigation into the incident.

Shahbaz Sharif also said that India has made baseless and false allegations without any credible investigation or verifiable evidence. The recent Pahelgam tragedy is another example of the ongoing blame game. Pakistan is ready to participate in any impartial, transparent and credible investigation.

Regarding India’s water aggression, he said, “Water is our lifeline, there can be no compromise on this. Pakistan will protect its security and sovereignty at any cost, if there is any misadventure, they will give a befitting reply like in February 2019. We will respond to every attempt to stop water in Pakistan with national strength.”

Meanwhile, in an interview with the US media The New York Times, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif alleged that India is using the Pahelgam attack as an excuse to cancel the Indus Water Treaty and has taken punitive action against Pakistan without any evidence or investigation.

He said, “We do not want the fire of war to flare up. Because if such a situation arises, it will bring disaster to the entire region.”

Last Tuesday (April 22), 26 people, including a Nepali citizen, were killed in an attack by an armed group in Pahelgam, a tourist destination in Indian-administered Kashmir. The Indian government has blamed Pakistan for the attack, although Islamabad has strongly denied the claim and called it a “false flag operation”.

India took several steps on Wednesday, the day after the attack, including cancelling visas for citizens of the neighboring country and suspending the Indus Waters Treaty.

Pakistan has also taken some tough measures in response to India’s actions. Islamabad announced several retaliatory measures on Wednesday, including cancelling visas for Indians, suspending trade with the country, and closing its airspace for Indian aircraft.

These retaliatory measures have renewed tensions between the two countries, which are feared to have escalated into a military conflict.
