A child named Mahin (5) was crushed under his father’s car in Alfadanga, Faridpur. The accident occurred in Gopalpur village of the upazila on Saturday afternoon.

Locals said that Mahin’s father Musa Sheikh was leaving in the morning with an earth-carrying vehicle as usual and was returning home for lunch. Hearing the sound of the vehicle, Mahin ran to his father when he hit a fence on the side of the road and was killed on the spot. Musa is speechless with grief over the tragic death of his child. The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the area.

Local UP member Saiful Islam Babar said that Musa used to take his son Mahin and a few children of the family in the car every morning. Again, when Musa came home in the afternoon, he would bring some food for his son. Mahin would come running whenever he heard the sound of his father’s car. Even today, Mahin was running to his father when he heard the sound of his father’s car. But in a cruel twist of fate, he died after falling under his father’s car.

Alfadanga Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harunor Rashid said that police were sent to the scene after receiving information.
