Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hold a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) for the second time after 26 people were killed in a gun attack in Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 11 am on Wednesday. Earlier, Modi took five important decisions including closing the border with Pakistan and revoking the Indus River Treaty after meeting with the CCS on Thursday.

After the meeting with the Security Committee, the Indian Prime Minister will hold discussions with the Committee on Political Affairs (CCPA). This committee includes Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Communications Minister Nitin Gadkari, Health Minister JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and other senior ministers.

After the meeting of the Political Committee, Modi will also join the discussions with the Economic Committee.

After the meeting last Thursday, after taking several measures against Pakistan, the Indian government announced that it would put the country’s armed forces on alert and bring the attackers in Kashmir to justice.

Pakistan also took countermeasures against India’s measures. They have already ordered Indians to leave Pakistan and downgraded diplomatic relations with India. They have also threatened to cancel other bilateral agreements, including Simla.

Since then, there have been incidents of firing on the India-Pakistan border almost every night. The fear of war has spread panic among the people of the border areas.
