Amid tensions with India over the Kashmir issue, Pakistan has conducted missile tests again. This time, the country has tested the surface-to-surface Fatah missile, which has a range of 120 km. Authorities claim that the missile test was conducted as part of a military exercise.
This is the second time that Pakistan has conducted missile tests in this regard after the Pahalgaon attack.
Earlier, the country had tested a surface-to-surface missile with a range of 450 km.
Before that, India had taken several steps, including canceling the Indus Treaty. Pakistan has also taken steps against India.
After these reciprocal steps, bilateral relations between the two countries have recently hit rock bottom. There are also signs of reciprocal attacks.
Tensions have arisen between India and Pakistan over the recent attack on tourists in Indian-administered Kashmir. The two nuclear-armed neighbors are now hinting at a limited military strike.
This has raised fears of a similar situation in Asia amid the war in Ukraine and the Middle East. However, the international community is not looking for another war.
On April 22, 26 people were killed in a gun attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgaon. Most of them were Indian tourists. India, its arch-rival, has accused Pakistan of involvement in the incident. However, Pakistan has denied any involvement in the attack.
