Chittagong Correspondent //

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that 180 million people in Bangladesh do not want Awami League.

Calling for national unity, the BNP Secretary General said, “Today we are holding a rally here. Another rally is in New Market, and more in Dhaka. What is the demand, ban Awami League. 180 million people in Bangladesh do not want Awami League. They have established fascism in the country.”

He said these things as the chief guest at a youth rally organized by Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal at the historic polo ground in Chittagong on Saturday afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Ziaur Rahman made the first reforms, the freedom of the press, the garment sector that is the basis of the economy today is also Ziaur Rahman’s contribution. Khaleda Zia brought the caretaker system. Today, everyone forgets everything. If you come from abroad and talk big, people will forget, right?’

He said, ‘Our youth want business, want jobs. The young society wants peace in educational institutions. They want a democratic country, where everyone can speak their mind. We want to establish that democracy. One of the objectives of today’s youth rally is, the youth should wake up again and defeat all the conspiracies and conspiracies and establish their own rights.’

The BNP Secretary General also said, ‘Ziaur Rahman fought for a democratic country, Khaleda Zia worked for democracy. Tarique Rahman wants to make Bangladesh a modern country. I don’t want anything by selling the country’s independence and sovereignty. That’s why Tarique Rahman said – Bangladesh first. He said – the decision will be made on the streets, that’s what happened.’
