A case has been filed naming 88 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader, Hasan Mahmud, Nazmul Hasan Papon and former MP Advocate Sohrab Uddin, Rezwan Ahmed Taufiq and Afzal Hossain for killing two people by burning them in Kishoreganj.

According to the summary of the case, on August 4, around 2 pm, the students gathered at Station Road in Kishoreganj city with the anti-discrimination quota movement. At that time, on the order and instigation of accused No. 1 to 9, all the accused unlawfully attacked the Awami League office in front of the Awami League office with weapons like da-ramda, kirich, ballam, iron rod, hockey stick, petrol bomb, cocktail, pipe gun, short gun, pistol etc.
The accused in the attack are Russell Ahmed Tuhin, Shafiqul Alam, Shafiqul Islam Limon Dhali, Al Zubayd Khan Niaz, Mahfuz, Faiz Oman Khan, Saiful Islam Apu, Mazharul Islam Masood, Taufiq, Sana, Mursalin Khan, Tajbir, Suman Molla, Aminul Islam Bakul, Anwar Hossain Bachchu fired directly at the protesting students with their short guns and pipe guns.
The students including the plaintiff in the case got injured and started running for their lives. Later he took shelter inside the house of Syed Ashfaqul Islam Titu of neighboring Kharampatti and on the road in front. On the news that the marchers were staying in that house, all the accused from accused number 10 took weapons and chased the students along with the plaintiff.
Also poured petrol from the container held by accused No. 11 and 12 and accused No. 11 set the house on fire. At that time, Zulkar Hossain (38) and Anjana (28) were burnt to death.
