A high-level meeting was held at the State Guest House Jamuna on the law and order situation in the country. The meeting was chaired by Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus on Tuesday, the press wing of the chief advisor said.
The press wing said that Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Foreign Affairs Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain and National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman were present at the high-level meeting.
In addition, Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman, Navy Chief Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan and Air Force Chief Air Marshal Hassan Mahmud Khan and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
The meeting reviewed the law and order situation in the country. Senior security officials presented a report on the situation.
Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus stressed the need to maintain law and order in the capital and other parts of the country. He also praised the efforts of the security forces in handling major incidents.
