Former Mayor of Sylhet City Corporation Ariful Haque Chowdhury said, Sylhet is a land of religious and cultural harmony. This spiritual city is rich in the footsteps of Bauls, poets and artists. We don’t want to keep artists and cultural practices confined within any political boundaries. Cultural practices play an important role in building a healthy and beautiful society. He highly praised the activities of the Lalit Kala Academy in practicing pure culture and assured all-out cooperation in any need.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the certificate distribution and high-pitched music program organized by the Sylhet Lalit Kala Academy at the city’s Sarada Hall on Friday (May 23) evening.

Dean of Sylhet Agricultural University, Professor Dr., spoke as a special guest at the program chaired by Lalit Kala Academy Principal Bipradas Bhattacharya. Nazrul Islam. The guest of honor was distinguished musician Himanshu Biswas and Shilpakala Academy member Shamsul Basit Shero. Sukanta Gupta spoke.

The program was hosted by Ritashree Dey. The guests including the chief guest presented certificates to the students of Lalit Kala Academy.

The high-pitched music performance was conducted by Bipradas Bhattacharya.

The musical program featured Rohit Dutta Chowdhury, Samiha Salsabil, Sheikh Mahjabin Tarana playing tanpura, Bappi Goswami and Sabuj Das playing tabla, Alok Dey playing violin, Samiha Salsabil playing tanpura, Jahin Ahmed, Rohit Dutta Chowdhury and Sheikh Mahjabin Tarana playing suramandal and Ipsita Talukdar playing suramandal.
