Combing operations will be conducted across the country from today to catch criminals and terrorists, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said.
He told reporters after a meeting of the Advisory Council Committee on Law and Order at the Secretariat on Sunday (July 13).
The advisor said that law enforcement agencies are conducting regular operations against all types of criminal activities including murder, theft, robbery, extortion, robbery, terrorism, kidnapping, women’s abuse, mob violence, and drug smuggling. Considering the situation, the government can conduct special or combing operations to catch identified criminals and terrorists at any time.
He said that the cooperation of everyone, including the general public, is highly desirable in this regard. The government will strictly suppress any activities that disrupt public order and public security.
When asked when the combing campaign will be conducted, he said, “It will start now.”
