Nahid Islam, convener of the central committee of the National Civic Party (NCP), said, “I have taken an oath again today to build the new Bangladesh, universal Bangladesh, and Bangladesh of justice that I promised to build through the mass uprising.” He also announced that there will be no more distance with the people of the isolated island district of Bhola.
Nahid expressed his gratitude to the people of Bhola for the brave children of Bhola who sacrificed their lives the most in the July Revolution. At this time, he highlighted the events of the night of July 14 and July 15 last year and said that the quota movement took shape in politics from July 15. The movement is not over yet.
Nahid Islam said these words at a road meeting on the premises of the Government Girls’ High School in Bhola on the occasion of the July march with central leaders on Tuesday to build a non-discriminatory state and society.
At that time, senior joint convener Samantha Sharmin said in her speech, the current government has not become the people’s government, it has not become our government. At that time, she highlighted the problems of Bhola’s gas, hospital, and bridge.
At that time, NCP’s southern region chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah, northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam, joint convener Tasnim Zara, and central and local leaders also spoke.
The central leaders reached Bhola by ferry from Barisal at 2 pm and started their march from the Kalinath Bazar Hilsa Fountain and circumambulated the city.
Although the central leaders had previously come to Bhola individually, this is the first joint visit. Local leaders believe that the party’s organizational position is being strengthened through this visit.
