Bangladesh created history by winning a T20 series for the first time on the Sri Lanka tour. Although they lost the first match of the three-match T20 series, the red-green representatives later won the series with two consecutive wins.

Bangladesh team captain Liton Kumar Das dedicated this historic series win in Sri Lanka to the martyrs of the July uprising. He said, we want to dedicate this series win to the martyrs.

Meanwhile, after winning the series, Liton praised the entire team and added, I am very happy with the way our team played in this series. Everyone showed their great performance. We have not been able to play the expected cricket in T20s recently. However, we have been able to give our best in this series. If we had won the toss today, I would have batted first, because our bowling attack is very good.

Regarding the series win in Sri Lanka, Liton said, I think this is a big achievement for Bangladesh. This win will improve our cricket and the new generation. We have bigger dreams and this series win will help us fulfill that dream.

Regarding playing Sheikh Mehedi today instead of Mehedi Hasan Miraj, Liton said, “I believed that this wicket was suitable for Mehedi, so he was played. Miraj is also a good player. However, I think Mehedi is the best on this wicket.”
