BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman have called for solidarity with the families of the plane crash victims in the capital’s Uttara. Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman expressed deep shock over the tragic incident. They expressed deep shock and condolences to the families of the deceased and injured and prayed that Allah Almighty grant the grieving families the strength to bear the loss of their children and the injured the strength to bear the loss of their children.

He inquired about the treatment of the injured along with the doctors. On the instructions of the BNP acting chairman, the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Publicity Secretary Sultan Salauddin Tuku, Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convener Aminul Haque and ‘Amra BNP Paribas’ convener Atiqur Rahman Rumon and senior leaders of the party rushed to the spot at noon. In addition, BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Rafiqul Islam rushed to the plane crash site in Uttara’s Milestone with a rescue team and a fleet of ambulances. On the other hand, leaders and activists of BNP’s affiliate organizations have been working as volunteers at the scene in Uttara since the accident.

On the other hand, a state of mourning has been declared today in the tragic incident of a Bangladesh Biman training plane crashing into a building of Milestone School in Uttara in the capital on Monday, killing students. On the occasion of the day of mourning, black flags will be hoisted at the party offices across the country, including the central office in Nayapaltan, on the initiative of BNP. In addition, on the occasion of the day of national mourning, milad and doa mahfil will be held across the country, including Dhaka, on the initiative of the party to pray for the departed souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured. The milad and doa mahfil in Dhaka will be held today at 11:30 am on the ground floor of the BNP central office in Nayapaltan.

Mourning at standing committee meeting: Deep sorrow has been expressed at the meeting of the BNP standing committee over the deaths and injuries in the plane crash. This mourning was expressed at the meeting of the BNP national standing committee at the chairperson’s political office in Gulshan in the capital at 8:30 pm on Monday. The statement said that the BNP’s national standing committee meeting expressed deep shock over the death of 20 people, including students and pilots, and more than 171 others seriously injured in the crash of a Bangladesh Air Force training plane inside Milestone School and College in Uttara in the capital. The injured are undergoing treatment at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. A condolence motion was adopted in this regard. It further said that the national standing committee meeting prayed for forgiveness for the departed souls of the deceased students and pilot and a speedy recovery of the injured and expressed sympathy for the bereaved families.

The meeting was attended by BNP standing committee members Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Salahuddin Ahmed, Begum Selima Rahman, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Major General Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain were present.
