National Citizens Party-NCP convener Nahid Islam said, we will gather at the Shahid Minar in Dhaka in August. We will implement the July Charter and the new constitution of the new Bangladesh, inshallah.

He said these things as the chief guest at a road meeting organized at the Central Shahid Minar after the July Padjatra in Sylhet metropolis on Friday (July 25) afternoon. Nahid said, the contribution made by the people of Sylhet in the July movement has inspired the entire country. We express our gratitude to the people of Sylhet.

He also said, 17 people were martyred in the July uprising in Sylhet district, including journalist ATM Turab. We have not forgotten them. We have come to Sylhet to build a new Bangladesh by taking an oath on the blood of those martyrs.

Regarding the support of the people of Sylhet for the NCP march, Nahid said, the way the school, college, and madrasa students of Sylhet supported the July Uprising has inspired Bangladesh. We gratefully remember the struggle of the people of Sylhet in the July Uprising. NCP was formed after the July Uprising. There is a son of your area, Arpita Ehtesham Junaid Bhai. They are strengthening the NCP here. Today, there are crowds of people in every corner of Sylhet. You have shown that Sylhet will be the fortress of NCP in the future.

Sylhet Metropolitan NCP Chief Coordinator Abu Sadek Md. NCP Northern Chief Coordinator Sarjis Alam conducted the road meeting organized under the chairmanship of NCP Northern Chief Coordinator.

NCP Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwari also spoke and was present at the meeting. Southern Coordinator Hasnat Abdullah, Central Joint Convener Arpita Das, Sylhet Chief Coordinator Nazim Uddin Sahan, Sylhet Chief Leader Dr. Ehtesham, July Uprising Slogan Master Baker, Sylhet Leader Dr. Abdullah, etc.
