Nurul Hasan Sohan and Rishad Hossain rescued the pressured Bangladesh team after losing 6 wickets in 9 runs. They took the team to the port of victory by putting on an unbroken partnership of 35 runs in just 18 balls.
Bangladesh started the series with a 4-wicket win over Afghanistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. They reached the target of 152 runs with 8 balls to spare.
In the first match of the three-match T20 series, Tanjid Hasan Tamim and Parvez Hossain Emon added 109 runs to the opening partnership in the run chase. Both played fifty-touchdown innings.
After the first wicket fell in the 12th over, they lost 5 more wickets in just 9 runs. Then Sohan played an unbeaten innings of 23 off 13 balls and Rishad scored 14 runs off 9 balls.
Rashid Khan took 4 wickets for just 18 runs in 4 overs. Earlier, Afghanistan scored 151 runs in the first T20I between Bangladesh and Afghanistan at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
