The Remittance Fighter Open Tape Tennis Cricket Tournament (Season-1) final game was held in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.
On Saturday (November 30), Bhanugach United defeated Al Rajhi Fighters by 18 runs in the final game at Srimangal Victoria High School Ground.
Bhanugach United Club won the toss and decided to bat. Bhanugach United Club scored 214 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in twenty overs. After the lunch break, Al Rajhi Fighters Kamalganj came out to bat with a target of 215 runs.
In the end, they scored 186 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 19 overs and Bhanugach United won by 18 runs to become the champion. The winning team’s batsman Yasin was adjudged the Man of the Match in the final game after scoring 67 runs and taking 2 wickets. Raju of Bhanugach United was adjudged the Man of the Series in the tournament. Helicopter Bablu of Al Razi Fighters Club was adjudged the Best Batsman of the Tournament. Rocket Suman of the same team was adjudged the Best Bowler.
The tournament was conducted by the Convener of the Tournament Implementation Committee Md. Mobarak Hossain Loppa and the Convener of the Tournament Management Committee Remittance Fighter Shibli Ahmed Chowdhury presided over the event. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Srimangal Police Station Md. Aminul Islam was present as the chief guest.
The special guests were Victoria High School Principal Ayan Chowdhury, former Bangladesh National Football Team player and Director of Football Academy Srimangal Ikram Rana, Ward 7 Councilor Mir MA Salam, teacher Abul Kashem, sports enthusiast Abdur Rahman Khan Pasha and others.
At the end of the game, the chief guest handed over the champion trophy worth Tk 50,000 to the champion team and Tk 30,000 to the runner-up team.
Member Secretary Mir MA Kalam thanked everyone in the tournament management committee for the successful completion of the tournament. 32 teams from the country participated in the tournament, which started last October.
