Addressing the new soldiers of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, you will give your life if necessary to protect the motherland, but you will not let even an inch of land be lost.

He said this as the chief guest at a program organized at the Border Guard Training Center and College, a traditional training institution of the BGB located in Baitul Izzat, Satkania, Chittagong on Tuesday (December 31).

Urging not to turn your back on the adversary at the border under any circumstances, the Home Affairs Advisor said, I want to believe that you will not disappoint and disappoint us. Know that the flawless security you provide will ensure the uninterrupted sleep of the people of the country. You will be the symbol of the security and trust of our border.

He also said that this force, known as the ‘watchful guardian of the border’, has been carrying out the great responsibility of protecting the 4,427-kilometer-long border of Bangladesh and providing security to border land and resources with great determination and success.

The Home Affairs Advisor said, the brilliant parade that you soldiers have displayed today is truly commendable. This has been possible only because of your rigorous training, relentless efforts, sincerity and indomitable enthusiasm. Remember, the scope and scope of work will expand further in your larger career. When you are deployed on the border, the image and glory of this force will depend on your honesty, dedication and professional skills.

BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui, senior military and civilian officers of Dhaka, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar regions, and senior officials of the local military and civilian administration were present at the event.
