Detective Police will not arrest anyone in plain clothes: Home Affairs Advisor

Dhaka //

Instructions have been issued so that no member of the Detective Police will arrest anyone in plain clothes, said Home Affairs Advisor (retd) Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury. He told reporters after visiting the Detective Police office on Minto Road in Dhaka on Monday (January 6).

Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said, there will be no such thing as a mirror. There will also be no rice hotel here. It has also been said that they (DB Police) will not arrest anyone in civil dress. They must wear jackets. They must show their ID cards. They will not do anything outside the law.

Earlier, after visiting the Passport Directorate in Agargaon, Dhaka, he said that no final decision has been made yet on the cancellation of police verification for passports in Bangladesh.

The Home Affairs Advisor said, I was once thinking of removing the police verification. We will only give it on the card (national identity card), since there is a little harassment of the people during police verification. But because of the Rohingya problem, the matter cannot be raised.

Please give your valuable opinion.
