Electricity and Energy Advisor Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan has claimed that there have been massive irregularities in the power and energy sector in the past.

He said that the project was taken up without any competition by passing the law in 2010. Projects have been given to charitable people through this. The price was increased at will. The purpose was to buy electricity at a higher price through irregularities and sell it to the customer at a higher price under various pretexts.

He said these things while visiting the 35 MW Specta Solar Power Plant power generation center in Paturia area of ​​Shibaloy Upazila of Manikganj around 11:30 am on Saturday.

The energy advisor said that the price of electricity cannot be reduced immediately, because 42 thousand crores of subsidy is being given in this sector every year. Earlier, this problem occurred due to the purchase of electricity at a higher price. We have to be patient until we buy electricity at a lower price.
