Thailand has kicked off its FIFA ASEAN Cup campaign with a magnificent victory. They secured all three points by defeating Pakistan 4-0 in a group stage match.
Thailand played attacking football from the very start at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, Indonesia. They took the lead in the 31st minute through a goal by Teerasak Poeiphimai. Former Chelsea Academy player Jude Soonsup-Bell doubled the lead in the 41st minute, just before the end of the first half.
Although Pakistan attempted to stage a comeback after the break, they failed to make any significant impact. Instead, they fell further behind—trailing 3-0—following an own goal by Haris Jaber in the 64th minute. Towards the end of the match, in the 84th minute, Teerasak scored his second goal to seal Thailand’s emphatic victory.
Ultimately, Thailand walked off the pitch with a 4-0 win. With this victory, the team has strengthened its position early on in the race for the tournament semi-finals.
