The ICC said in a press release on Tuesday night that Tanjim will be fined 15 percent of the match fee for these crimes. A demerit point has also been added next to his name. At the end of the game, Tanzim accepted the penalty given by match referee Richie Richardson. There was no need for a formal hearing.

Tanjim took 4 wickets for just 7 runs in 4 overs against Nepal. Bangladesh confirmed Super Eight by winning this match. Tanjim was the man of the match.
