The Bangladesh Party (AB Party) termed the 12th National Parliament as a dummy parliament without public support. At the same time, the party protested against the passing of the budget in the dummy parliament.

The party protested in a press conference at the central office of the party on Monday at 4 pm.

Rejecting the Finance Bill 2024, AB Party convener AFM Solaiman Chowdhury said that there is no moral justification for spending taxes and giving budgets to the government that cheats votes and loots the country’s resources, people will judge this dummy government one day.

He said, those who are publicly accused of stealing votes and corruption, how can they determine economic policy? The laspensers of this government have eaten all the banks, stock market, reserves.

He demanded that government ministers, MPs, secretaries and those who are in responsible positions of various forces submit their asset statements before assuming responsibility.

Solaiman Chowdhury said, Awami League has institutionalized corruption. This government has turned the country into a haven of corruption at every step, starting with matters related to government procurement. He demanded that the Board of Revenue should publish a white paper on the assets of government officials every year.

Member Secretary Mojibur Rahman Manju also spoke under the direction of Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuader, Joint Member Secretary of the party.
