Shaistaganj (Habiganj) Representative //
International Disaster Mitigation Day-2024 was celebrated in Shaistaganj with the theme “Empowering the next generation, building a disaster-tolerant future”.
This drill was displayed at the officer’s office premises organized by the upazila administration and disaster management department on Sunday (October 13) at 11 am.
Shaistaganj Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Sadbin Jahangir, Shaistaganj Union Acting Chairman Abdus Shahid, Shaistaganj Fire Service Sub Station Officer Mohammad Ibrahim, Upazila ICT Officer Md. Kausar Ahmed, Shaistaganj Press Club President Moinul Hasan Ratan, General Secretary Kamrul Hasan, Upazila Journalists were present. Forum president Mizanur Rahman Sumon, general secretary Muhin Shipon and students.
Speakers in the meeting said that everyone should be careful to avoid both natural and man-made disasters. During this time, it was demanded to take action on all the dangerous buildings in Shaistaganj and install fire hydrants at important places.
