The entire country has been experiencing dry weather for the past few days. However, a mild cold wave is blowing over Gopalganj, Chuadanga and Panchagarh districts, which may continue, the Meteorological Department said.

This information was given by Meteorological Department meteorologist Kh. Hafizur Rahman in the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Friday (January 23).

The forecast says that the weather may remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies across the country from 9 am on Friday. There is a possibility of light to moderate fog in some places in the country from late night to morning. During this time, a mild cold wave may blow over Gopalganj, Chuadanga and Panchagarh districts. At the same time, night and day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country.

It has also been said that winds are blowing from the west and northwest at a speed of 8 to 12 kilometers per hour in Dhaka in the morning. The relative humidity of the air in Dhaka was recorded at 73 percent at 6 am. Sunset in Dhaka today will be at 5:38 pm.

On the second day, Saturday (January 24), the weather may remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies across the country from 9 am. Light to moderate fog may fall in some places in the country from late night to morning. During this time, the night temperature may increase slightly across the country and the day temperature may remain almost unchanged.

On the third day, Sunday (January 25), the dry weather may continue with partly cloudy skies across the country from 9 am. There is a possibility of light to moderate fog falling in some places from late night to morning. During this time, the night and day temperatures may increase slightly across the country.

There was no rain anywhere in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Teknaf at 31.6 degrees Celsius and the lowest temperature in Gopalganj at 9.8 degrees Celsius.

The synoptic weather forecast states that the extended part of the subcontinental high pressure area is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas. In addition, the seasonal normal low pressure area is located over the south Bay of Bengal, an extended part of which extends up to the northeast Bay of Bengal.
