New Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Pallab Home Das had an introduction and exchange meeting with journalists working in Shaestaganj Upazila.
The introduction and exchange meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad meeting room yesterday, Wednesday, around 4 pm. Various print and electronic media journalists of Shaistaganj upazila participated in it.
Shaistaganj Press Club President Moinul Hasan Ratan, Vice President Syed Azizur Rahman Soyfur, General Secretary Kamrul Hasan, Upazila Model Press Club President Syed Ashraf Uddin Mamun, Upazila Press Club President Shah Md Humayun Kabir, Upazila Online Press Club President Syed Akhlaq Uddin Mansoor, Upazila Journalist Forum President Md. Mizanur Rahman Sumon, General Secretary Md. Mohin Shipon, Press Club Member Shah Md. Mostafa Kamal, Abdus Shahid etc.
Upazila executive officer Pallab Hom Das said, I believe in solving any problem on the spot. I have just joined Shaestaganj upazila. So it will take me some time to know and understand everything. I am committed to working with integrity. I have to face many challenges in the overall development of the upazila. Therefore, the upazila requested the positive cooperation of journalists in the progress of overall development.
He also said that journalists are the mirror of society. So journalists can play an important role in upazila development activities. I will work to build Shaestaganj upazila as a model upazila. My door will always be open. Anyone can freely come to my office for any work. For this, the cooperation of journalists is needed. His first workplace was as assistant commissioner (land) of Rangamati upazila of Chittagong district and Zakiganj upazila of Sylhet district.
Before this he was working as Deputy Collector (NDC) of Negarat Branch in Habiganj District Commissioner’s office and he is BCS of 35th batch. Pallab Home Das is a resident of Mahmudnagar village of Shalla upazila of Sunamganj district. In 2023, a book of poems written by Tina “Adhkhana Chande Bharre Na Akash” was published.
