Ambassador Mushfiqul Fazal Ansarey has extended his best wishes for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s journey to New York to represent Bangladesh at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
In a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday (September 21), he stated that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has departed for New York, accompanied by his wife, to attend the UN session.
Ansarey expressed hope that Tarique Rahman’s address at the UN forum would capture the attention of heads of state and government from various nations. He also remarked that meetings with key global leaders on the sidelines of the session would further strengthen Bangladesh’s interests, prestige, and potential.

He further noted that over the past decade and a half, expatriate Bangladeshis in the US—including BNP supporters—have organized various programs in New York demanding the restoration of democracy. He mentioned that they are preparing to create a festive atmosphere to welcome Tarique Rahman.
