The 2-day information fair 2024 has been inaugurated in Srimangal, Moulvibazar through a rally and discussion meeting.
On Wednesday (November 20), at 11 am, the 2-day fair jointly organized by the Upazila Parishad and the Conscious Citizens Committee (Snacak)-TIB was inaugurated by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Abu Taleb at the Srimangal Upazila Parishad ground.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abu Taleb presided over the discussion meeting, and the convener of the fair celebration committee, journalist Syed Sayed Ahmed, delivered the welcome speech. Sanak member Kazi Asma moderated the discussion and Assistant Commissioner (ACL) Salauddin Biswas, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Srimangal Police Station Md. Aminul Islam, TIB’s Civic Engagement Department Director Farhana Ferdous, Srimangal Sanak Vice President Geeta Goswami, among others. Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Mohammad Sajjad Hossain Chowdhury also spoke at the public hearing on health issues.
About 34 government service providers participated in the fair with their information. In addition, about 500 students from different educational institutions participated in various competitions including quizzes, debates, and drawing in the fair.
