Chunarughat (Habiganj) Correspondent //

The 2025-26 committee of Chunarughat Press Club in Habiganj has been formed. On this occasion, the Election Commission announced the committee at the Chunarughat Press Club building on Saturday at 11 am.

The discussion meeting on the occasion of the committee announcement was chaired by Jugantor senior reporter Alamgir Hossain. Sajidul Islam moderated the program. Former chairman of Chunarughat Upazila Parishad Syed Liaquat Hasan was the chief guest.

Former mayor Nazim Uddin Samsu, Habiganj Judge Court PP Abdul Hai, prominent social worker MA Malek Jepani, businessman Nurul Islam and others were special guests.

In the election, an 18-member committee was announced with Dainik Tarafbarta publisher Principal Faruk Uddin Chowdhury as the president and Dainik Amar Desh’s Chunarughat correspondent Sajidul Islam as the general secretary.

Other members of the committee are – Vice President Mahid Ahmed Chowdhury (Amader Somoy), Vice President Ismail Hossain Bachchu (NTV), Joint Secretary Khandaker Alauddin (Daily Khola Kagoj), Organizing Secretary Mizanur Rahman (Nayadiganta), Treasurer Mohammad Sumon (Adhikaran), Office and Library Secretary Tofazzal Mia (Daily Bijoyer Pratidhoni), Publicity and Publication Secretary Md. Shahjahan Mia, Sports and Cultural Secretary Mizanur Rahman Ujjal.

Executive members are – Md. Alamgir Mia (Daily Jugantor), Kamrul Islam (Ittefaq), Jamal Hossain Liton (Zayzaydin), Junayed Ahmed (Bhorer Kagoj), Md. Jahangir Alam (Kaler Kantho), Nur Uddin Sumon (Samakal), Sheikh Harunur Rashid (Sangram) and Raihan Ahmed (Dainik Bangla).
